JEE Main 2026 Percentile Calculator

Enter your mock-test or expected marks out of 300 to get an educational estimate of your likely percentile range—and understand why the official result can differ by session.

Last updated: September 26, 2026 · This is an independent estimate, not an official NTA score.

Important: this tool estimates a range, not an official result

Your official JEE Main NTA Score depends on the current normalisation process, the difficulty of the relevant session and relative candidate performance. Use this calculator to set preparation goals—not to make admission decisions.

Estimate your percentile

Enter total marks scored or expected in a JEE Main Paper 1-style mock test. The estimate is designed for a maximum score of 300.

Your estimated percentile range

Enter your marks and select “Estimate Percentile Range” to see an educational estimate based on broad historical score patterns.

Actual percentile can be lower or higher. It is not possible for any third-party calculator to know the final NTA Score before the official result and normalisation process.

Estimated JEE Main marks vs percentile range

These broad bands are for learning and goal-setting. They are not official cut-offs, do not predict an exact rank and can shift from one session to another.

Mock-test / expected marksBroad estimated percentile rangeHow to use this information
270–30099.85–99.99+Focus on retaining accuracy, revising weak edges and reducing avoidable mistakes.
240–26999.55–99.85Analyse every incorrect question; small accuracy improvements can matter greatly.
210–23999.10–99.65Strengthen high-scoring chapters while improving time allocation across subjects.
180–20998.20–99.25Use error logs and targeted revision to convert familiar mistakes into marks.
150–17996.50–98.50Prioritise accuracy, recurring weak chapters and full-length test analysis.
120–14993.00–97.00Improve syllabus coverage and avoid losing marks in standard, solvable questions.
90–11987.00–94.00Build fundamentals, revise NCERT and practise selected chapter-wise questions.

Marks, percentage and percentile are different

This distinction prevents a common JEE Main misunderstanding: a 95 percentile is not the same as scoring 95% marks.

Marks

Marks are the raw score you obtain from correct and incorrect answers under the marking rules for the relevant paper and question type. Your mock-test score is also a marks-based measure.

Percentile

Percentile is a relative-performance measure. Broadly, it shows how a candidate performed compared with other candidates in the relevant session. It is not simply raw marks divided by total marks.

Why the same marks may produce a different percentile

A calculator cannot see the final cohort performance or the official normalisation outcome. That is why honest estimates must show a range.

Factors that can affect the official NTA Score

  • The difficulty level and distribution of questions in a particular session.
  • How other candidates performed in the same relevant session.
  • The official NTA normalisation methodology in force for that examination cycle.
  • Final result processing, merit-list rules and applicable tie-breaking provisions.

What this calculator does not do

  • It does not access NTA records, response sheets or official results.
  • It does not claim to predict an exact percentile or all-India rank.
  • It does not replace the JEE Main Information Bulletin or scorecard.
  • It should not be used as the only basis for counselling or college decisions.

Turn your mock-test score into a preparation plan

Your score matters only when the next test becomes better. Use a specific action instead of reacting only to the estimated percentile.

Below 120

Repair fundamentals

Choose weak chapters, revise concepts and NCERT, then solve a manageable set of standard questions before adding more mocks.

120–159

Build consistency

Complete high-priority chapters, identify avoidable negative marks and review every test for repeated errors.

160–209

Improve conversion

Increase accuracy in known topics, plan subject-wise time and use an error log to prevent the same mistake twice.

210 and above

Protect precision

Keep revision tight, practise realistic full papers and focus on selection of questions rather than attempting everything.

Use the official notice for final decisions

JEE Main percentile calculator FAQ

The calculator is intended for planning and learning. The official result is the only final source for your NTA Score.

No. It gives an educational estimate based on broad historical patterns. Only NTA can issue the official NTA Score after the current normalisation process and result preparation.

No. Marks are your raw paper score. Percentile is a relative-performance measure and is not the same as a percentage of marks.

The result can vary by session because of paper difficulty, the performance distribution of candidates and the official normalisation process.

This page estimates percentile from a total score. To calculate raw marks from responses, use the relevant official marking scheme and verify the current Information Bulletin, as question types and rules can change.

No. Exact rank depends on final NTA Scores, the candidate pool, official tie-breaking rules and the applicable admission process. This tool intentionally avoids exact-rank claims.

Review your mock test. Separate conceptual errors, calculation errors, time-pressure errors and careless mistakes. Then make a small chapter-wise plan for the next mock test.

No. PrepMocker is an independent educational practice platform. Always use the official JEE Main/NTA portal for applications, results, scorecards and notices.
