How This Units and Measurements Test Series Works
A useful test series does more than give a score. It helps you identify whether an error came from dimensions, conversion, significant figures, a formula rule or rushed reading.
Use the sets in sequence: begin with concept recall, move to calculation and error questions, then attempt a mixed timed set. Repeat only the questions you missed or guessed after reviewing the underlying rule.
Units and Measurements Practice Sets
Choose a set according to your current revision stage. Each set has a specific purpose so you can diagnose weak concepts instead of solving random questions repeatedly.
SI Units and Dimensions
Start with base units, derived units, dimensional formulae and dimensional consistency.
Open concept quiz →Significant Figures and Errors
Practise zeros, rounding, decimal places, absolute error and percentage error.
Use sample questions →Error Propagation and Conversion
Work on powers, products, quotients and conversion between unit systems.
Practise PYQ-style set →Chapter Review Test
Mix all concepts and attempt under a short time limit before checking explanations.
Open chapter test →Rules to Recall Before Every Test
The 5-Step Test-Series Routine
Set a small time limit
Use a short, realistic time target. For an 8–10 question practice set, try 10–15 minutes after basic revision.
Attempt without notes
Write an answer even when uncertain. Mark guesses separately so they are reviewed like wrong answers.
Classify the error
Label each error as dimensions, conversion, significant figures, error propagation or careless reading.
Revise one exact rule
Do not reread the entire chapter after one mistake. Review the one formula, definition or conversion principle that caused it.
Reattempt after a gap
Return to missed questions after one or two days. Correct recall without hints is the real test of revision.
Units and Measurements Test Series Sample MCQs
Use these as a quick diagnostic before opening a complete practice set.
If \(Q=A^2B\), and percentage errors in \(A\) and \(B\) are 2% and 3%, respectively, the maximum percentage error in \(Q\) is:
Show answer and explanation
Answer: C. \(Q=A^2B\), so the error contribution from \(A\) is \(2\times2\%=4\%\), and from \(B\) it is 3%. Total maximum error is 7%.
How many significant figures are present in 0.03040?
Show answer and explanation
Answer: C. Leading zeros are not significant. The digits 3, 0, 4 and the final zero are significant, giving four significant figures.
The dimensional formula of power is:
Show answer and explanation
Answer: C. Power is energy per unit time. Since energy has dimensions \([M L^2T^{-2}]\), power has dimensions \([M L^2T^{-3}]\).
If 1 m equals \(10^2\) cm, then 1 m\(^3\) equals:
Show answer and explanation
Answer: C. Cube the conversion factor: \(1\,m^3=(10^2\,cm)^3=10^6\,cm^3\).

Complete the short quiz first, then use PYQ-style practice and a timed chapter test. Review the reason behind every wrong or guessed answer before moving to the next Physics topic.

- If dimensions are weak, derive common formulae from definitions instead of rote memorising them.
- If conversion is weak, write unit powers explicitly for area and volume.
- If significant figures are weak, solve a separate 10-question rounding drill.
- If errors are weak, first identify the mathematical operation before applying an error rule.
- If mistakes are careless, slow down only for units, powers and final rounding—not for the entire paper.
NEET Units and Measurements Test Series FAQs
Is this NEET Units and Measurements test series free?
Yes. This page provides free chapter-wise practice guidance, sample questions and links to free Units and Measurements practice resources.
How should I use a chapter test series?
Attempt one set without notes, analyse all wrong and guessed answers, revise the exact weak rule and then reattempt missed questions after a short interval.
What should I revise before taking a Units and Measurements test?
Revise SI units, dimensional formulae, significant-figure rules, percentage error, error propagation and powers used in unit conversion.
Are these official NEET previous-year questions?
No. The questions here are original NEET-style practice questions. Use official sources separately for exact previous-year papers.
